A strong start across the board

Thursday, February 04, 2010

With the holiday period now well and truly behind us it is back in the saddle for us all and watch with anticipation at the year ahead unfoldoing before our eyes. What have I noticed to date? Well given our circumstances of having sold all of our last year stock we are in the position where our new vendors are getting a lot of attention from our team. Why the great outcomes of last year?  I put it down to the experience of my team on how to work in changing market conditions. The fact that we have had 100% clearance proves we must have learnt how to do it properly...the secret....DON'T BUY A LISTING ...telling porky pies about price as an agent to get the listing.... is an old trick...then they slowly recondition their owners into the changing market and talk the vendors property down ( via purchaser's comments of course ) and voila the house is sold at the price we put on it 4 months prior!!!  The reality is we lost the listings for telling the truth  on property value, which we do substantiate with statistics, but maybe that's why we have enjoyed the longevity along with our good reputation. So far this year, we have seen very strong activity with the stock listed and quick sales are following. We have found sales from our data base are taking place without any form of advertising and with the interest rates holding and the media on our side I feel all points to a strong year ahead.

Until next time ( chose your agent wisely and look at their website how old is their stock? It tells a story )
